I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Berenholz, Melissa, and the entire team. Choosing Dr. Berenholz for my surgery was one of the best decisions I have made.

From the very beginning, everyone was professional, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. The surgery center was spotless, well-organized, and made me feel comfortable and confident that I was receiving excellent care. The staff took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions, which helped ease my nerves.

What truly sets Dr. Berenholz apart is his dedication to his patients. He provides his personal phone number so patients can call or text with any concerns or questions, and he responds incredibly quickly. Knowing I could reach him directly during my recovery gave me so much peace of mind. His level of care, professionalism, and accessibility is exceptional.

Melissa was also amazing—kind, responsive, and always willing to help. She made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

I first began researching surgeons in October 2025 and reached out to Dr. Berenholz for a new patient consultation. At the time, I was still uncertain about moving forward and, because of my fear and hesitation, I did not return his call.

After several months of careful consideration, I contacted his office again in May 2026 to schedule a consultation. I had some medical concerns that I wanted his professional opinion on, and I also wanted to revisit a cosmetic procedure I had previously considered.

Dr. Berenholz personally reached out to discuss my concerns. At my consultation the following week, he thoroughly explained his recommended treatment plan and answered every question I had. His knowledge and compassionate approach immediately put me at ease. By the end of the appointment, I felt confident enough to schedule my surgery.

Dr. Berenholz's has excellent bedside manner and a great sense of humor. As a female patient, discussing certain concerns with a male physician can feel uncomfortable, but he made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process.

I had surgery on June 5th and everything went very well. My daughter, who is a nurse, went with me and was extremely impressed with Dr. Berenholz. She expressed on how clearly he communicated, how attentive he was, and how thoroughly he explained my post-operative care instructions.

What truly sets Dr. Berenholz apart is his dedication to his patients after surgery. About three weeks into my recovery, I developed severe constipation and had to visit the emergency room late on a Friday night. The ER physician wanted to determine whether my symptoms were related to my surgery and contacted Dr. Berenholz at approximately 11:00 p.m. To his surprise, Dr. Berenholz answered immediately. After my tests and scans were completed, the ER physician spoke with him again to review the results and discuss the best course of treatment.

The ER physician was incredibly impressed by Dr. Berenholz's responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to collaborate in the middle of the night. He even commented, "I don't know how you found such a great surgeon, but I am very impressed."

Throughout my recovery, Dr. Berenholz personally called and texted to check on my progress and make sure I was doing well. That level of follow-through and genuine concern for his patients is rare. Surgery can be intimidating, and knowing your surgeon is invested in your recovery provides tremendous peace of mind. He has truly set a high standard for patient care.

I would also like to recognize Melissa, a member of his staff. She is kind, calming, professional, and exceptionally responsive. During one follow-up appointment, I mentioned a billing error from the surgery center. Before I even left the waiting room, Melissa had already contacted the hospital and resolved the issue. Her follow-through to helping patients were outstanding.

Another factor that influenced my decision to choose Dr. Berenholz was learning that he serves on the medical board for the Women's Health Center. That level of leadership and involvement within the medical community gave me additional confidence in my choice.

I also remember waiting to be taken into the operating room and noticing something that spoke volumes about his reputation. When Dr. Berenholz entered the area, the atmosphere shifted. The nurses, staff, and other physicians clearly respected him, and it was evident from the way they interacted with him. He carried himself with confidence, professionalism, and quiet authority—not arrogance, but the kind of confidence that comes from experience and expertise. As a patient preparing for surgery, seeing the respect he commands from his peers was incredibly reassuring.

From my initial consultation through my recovery, my experience with Dr. Berenholz has been exceptional. He is skilled, compassionate, responsive, and genuinely committed to the well-being of his patients. I had plastic surgery at this facility and had a fantastic experience. The facility was clean, private, beautiful, and comfortable. As a black woman to find a doctor that understands and listens to your concerns about what you are experiencing is wonderful!
